Professional
Conduct and Ethics for Oregon CPAs
Audience: CPAs. This
4 hour live course is approved by the Oregon State Board
of Accountancy for four hours of professional ethics credit. This course
is appropriate for CPAs employed in
business and industry as well as those engaged in public practice.
Level: Review/Update
Description: Topics include
the Public Accountancy Act, Board rules, and prohibited practices. This
live course meets the Oregon State Board of Accountancy requirements
for four hours of professional conduct and ethics credit.
The course and materials have been developed to fulfill Board of Accountancy requirements. BrownBagCPE is registered as a sponsor with the Oregon State Board of
Accountancy to provide CPE Ethics training.
Instructor: Jim Jurinski, Attorney/CPA (Oregon and Washington).
Jim, has taught classes on accounting ethics in Portland and the Seattle area for a number of years. He formerly served on the AICPA subcommittee that oversees ethics testing on the CPA Exam. Jim, who is Of Counsel to the law firm Draneas & Huglin, P.C., has published several articles on both accounting ethics and the legal problems of accountants facing malpractice charges. more »
