Description: Divorce is a major financial event for any couple and typically has important tax consequences for each of the divorcing spouses. Financial professionals and attorneys need a solid grounding in these complex tax rules. Although most divorces are an emotional disaster area, without planning, a divorce may also be a tax disaster. This course provides basic knowledge for understanding the tax consequences of various planning alternatives.
